Toronto is the home of Caribana.

Caribana is sometimes billed as the largest Caribbean street festival in North America. The two-week summer Festival annually attracts over a million people with roots in the Caribbean and others from America and other countries. Based on Trinidad Carnival, the Festival includes steel pan and other music, dance, food and elaborate masquerade costumes from a various Caribbean countries. Caribana was created in 1967 as a community heritage project for Canada's Centennial year.
